Who We Are

Piano B, Italian for "plan b", started as an experimental project in the Summer of 2003. It fuses together a variety of different music styles from across the globe. It is a meeting point for people from different backgrounds but with same concious beliefs.


+Introducing

     
 

Daniele Carmosino is a young producer and songwriter who works between London and Italy. A graduate Master of Arts in Audio production, his research into sound fields have found him collaborating with different artists (Lucy Orta, Kaso) and institutions (FABRICA, Benetton's research and communication center). He played with Piano B (Genoa, London) and other experimental electronic projects, including the new work "Written Sound", a multimedia piece involving live written and musical improvisation with Swedish writer Jonas Joelson (Berlin, Sarajevo, London).

 

 

Kaya (Carlton Newman) roots singer from the band Rhythm Squad from East London. He wrote and sung "Bright Light" and "Thank you Father" in the album "Light it Up" (Dove); he worked with Snagga Kid in the track "Rich Man AKA Want Some". He is active in the English-Jamaican sound system scene: he has worked with Unity (Jammy), Jah Tubby, King Original, Sir Coxcson, Moambassan. You may have seen Kaya live, because he has performed in a number of events such as Mega Jam (97), with artists such as Barrington Levi, Coco Tea, General Degree, Starkey Bunton, Sugar Minott and Alton Ellis.

 

 

Stamina Li (Klod Clavot) from Martinique (French West Indies) is a sing-J and Saxophone player. He wrote ang recorded "Little Sista" in the album "Ragga Party" (JM Harmony). Member of Wass'Muffin Sound System, active in Martinique, south of France and London. Recently he has organised nights in clubs in the Shoreditch area (Roots Studio). He performed live with Wass'Muffin Sound with Front Line International at Imperial Gardens, and on many occasions with Cultural Vibes as Togeda Inna Di Gideon, Tabot Sound, Jah Marcus High Grade Sound.

 

 

Sami Kurd is a singer as well as an amazing guitar and arab percussion player; he was born in Berlin, Germany, but he soon moved to Jerusalem (Palestine). Son of a traditional arab musician, he developed an interest in arab music but also for western music, particularly in reggae and Bob Marley. In Jerusalem he was a member of the band Spanky, and his music has always had a political orientation. He recently moved to England, and graduated in Manchester in Pop Music and Sound Recording. He is now living in London, working on his solo album "7th Sky", under the name of Darwish.

 

  Sareal (Sarina Leah Mantle) is 22 years old, from London, and she is a fashion designer student. She comes from a funk, garage and hip hop background, and she has worked with the producer I.G. Culture on the album " One Step Forward " by the Lesnubian , where she did the backing vocals. She is the singer of Organica and hopefully we will soon hear her solo album as well...
